2018-Another Year Closer
Starting with T10MO over on Youtube with
HITS OF 2017 | Year - End Mashup [+150 Songs] (T10MO)

Quite a laid back mix lasting just over 10 minutes, it has most definately grown on me. A lot of work has gone into this and is worth a listen.
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO9Z9p7ssas

Another End of Year mix to listen to
Djs From Mars - Best Of 2017 Rewind Megamashup - 40 tracks in 5 minutes

The DJS have taken to making these split screen videos, of which I quite like, and of course, they deliver near perfection and make it look so easy. This track has a lovely balance throughout and take the listener on a little journey though 2017. Well done guys!

Pop Songs World 2017 - Mashup (Dj Pyromania)

Another beautifully put together farewell to 2017. With a lot of love and attention DJ Pyromania has a Youtube channel that I recommend taking a look at sometime.
Mashup by Dj Pyromania, Video by Yabancı Müzikler.
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu6vm15FV6s

Avicii Vs The Beatles Vs Martin Solveig - Without You Vs Twist And Hello is another offering from DJs from Mars.

One track with three backing tracks superbly blended into one great dance track

not to forget

Fergie &Nicki Minaj Vs Taylor Swift-You Already Know Vs Look What You Made Me Do(DjsFromMars Mashup)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFpPojh7GpY

Next we have a couple of tracks from Liam Pfeifer

Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes (Liam Pfeifer Remix)

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of this song, but this remix version, I definately like, a good beat, not overdone, and a slight echoey etherial quality that works.
Also from Monsieur Pfiefer is
Selena Gomez - Bad Liar (Liam Pfeifer Remix).
I love this track, and I'm starting to like Selina Gomezs voice (and legs) also. Outstanding!
The third one I have is Halsey - Now Or Never (Liam Pfeifer Official Remix)
What can I say, I adore Halsey's voice. Beautiful, talented, and just alround awesome. Simply done remix to highlight the best parts of the song and doesn't overpower her voice.
From Gioma I have for you probably the best Micheal Jackson remix that I have heard in a very long time

Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal (Remix 2016)

This track is a head nodding foot tapper. Can be found on his channel

Along with Michael Jackson - Thriller (Gioma Halloween Mashup) the video is worth watching alone, but the remix is damn fine too
A third hit for Gioma is the finest remix of Roxette I've even come across
Roxette - Listen To Your Heart (Remix 2016)

The beat is a bit old school, but fits the track perfectly

I was asked to find this next one by someone, but I can't remember who it was. I think it was someone on twitter, not sure.

GENESIS - I Can't Dance (Remix)
found it on km music channel

I'm going to leave you with one last track, but it is definately the pick of the bunch. I have had this remix stuck in my head since I first heard it and I love it. It just ticks all the boxes

Dua Lipa - New Rules (Suprafive Remix)

Give this track a listen, It is absolutely outstanding. Not too sweet and not too sour, just sits nicely. I could listen to this track all day long

Summer ain't what it used to be!

Been away, now I'm back. As per usual, It's been a while. Truth is, I'm a chef, which means long hours and few days off. Getting the time to write is difficult, and I have a few blogs as well as writing my own stuff for publication. I am currently writing so that I can dip my toe into the world of self-publishing. I would love to give up working for someone else and work from home, but that's a story for another time and another place.

The world of mashups has been a bit lean of late. The Djs from Mars are still running strong, but a lot of the big names are either quiet at the moment or are no longer producing. We've heard nothing from the likes of Bobby Martini since around 2008 when he brought out 'Joy of Decks'.

http://bobbymartini.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/bobby-martinis-joy-of-deck-2008.html

Wax Audio brought out Mashopolis in 2007 and Mashopolis 2 in 2009 with a trailer on his Youtube channel in 2016 promising Mashopolis - the Movie, of which we are eagerly awaiting.

DJ Colatron has reverted back to his alter ego, Andy Smart, and can be found scouring the Birmingham landscape looking for examples of street art, formerly known as graffiti. He still keeps his hand in with the Crumplestock festival, so all respect to him for that, I just wish he would make a start on E.V.P. part two (which he's threatened to do on occasion). He could call it E.V.P. part two - The beard has landed!

RamDomThoughts ( http://www.ramdomthoughts.com/ ) is still going strong,With Scott still at the helm, only no longer broadcasting from the wilds of Essex, I recently found out he is married, has become a buddist, and now lives in Seattle, Washington, and I'm really happy for him, best of luck.

https://twitter.com/ramdomthoughts

You can find him @ramdomthoughts on twitter and on Facebook under the name Podcaster ( https://www.facebook.com/podcastfullofmashups/ )

So then, what have I been up to? Well, I've been looking around and have found some good mashups. One was Djs from Mars mix of Katy Perry and Inner City. I get the feeling that Katy Perry has reached that point where an artist thinks that they have reached the pinnacle of their career and can now bring out any old cack, and the mashup and remix community will bring out mixes that will promote their music for them. I haven't been blow away with mainstream offerings for a while now, including Katy Perry and Rihanna, and have been going futher afield.

As you know, I like a beat, and the harder the better. I recently decided to listen to a Melbourne Bounce video, mainly because of the hot girl's dancing in the video's and the fact that I follow Josy Shuffles on YouTube as she tours the USA, dancing in every state.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0ySUw5XpcM&t=4s

Melbourne bounce has got me hooked, I have a few issues, such as some of the mixes feel the need to use Ed Sheeran's entire back catologue, and you can click on three different video's only to find that they are all using the same mix, but in general, there are some really good mixes out there. Some of the video's have remixed tracks that are really good, but the tracks are really badly mixed together, like a shit wedding DJ who's had too much to drink and can't stand the music he's playing.

One thing I do like though, is that absolutely anything goes, no restrictions. Everything is fair game, rap, hip-hop, heavy metal, mainstream, latino, japanese, anything, and when it's done properly, it sounds amazing. I'll give you a couple of examples.

One channel I've been checking out is DJ Brothers.

Melbourne Bounce Mix 2017 Best Of Party Electro House Remixes Of Popular Songs

Melbourne Bounce Dance Charts Mix ♫ Electro House Music ✪ Best Remixes Of Popular Songs

If you want to check these out just click the picture, there are loads of these, so just go mad.

One I stumbled across that I quite liked was

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM8l_ZTQns0

Shakira - Whenever, Wherever (Slash Junior Remix)

It's a pretty good mix of a track thats been done to death, and I think it's a good effort, big thumbs up.

One I really like, I might have mentioned it before, I've definately twittered it, is

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCcdYVAMGI4

Sia - Cheap Thrills Ft. Sean Paul (Remix)

from the Km Music channel, not just the track, but the video as well, especially the street dancers at the beginning. All video's used in the montage are listed so you can watch them individually.

How about a bit of Enrique.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRg1AGlOqOw

Enrique Iglesias - Bailando (DJ Alliance Remix)

The original song didn't feature Enrique and was released in 2013
by Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona without Iglesias' vocals. The track featured on a couple of compilation albums but was never released as a single, only as an album track.

I was going to finish with a remix of cool for the summer - demi lovato that I heard on tv, but I cannot find the frigger anywhere on the internet. I will keep looking, meanwhile, I think I'll finish with something a little different.

Yanina Chiesa from Argentina, has been singing from an early age, and posts video's of herself singing on Youtube. She has the ability to impersonate many female performer, and has a stack of video's showcasing her talent. Pretty good when english isn't your first language

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv0SqWy02Xs

Not to be confused with Tatiana Owens from The Key of Awesome, who sings for the actors in the videos

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-Q09DU6ITE

Both accomplised singers and both can impersonate other singers

and that's all folks

See Ya soon!

And for my latest Offering.....

I love to scour the web for those attention grabbing pieces, those cleverly created mash-ups and remixes that just get you tapping your fingers on the desktop as you check your twitter. Those of you who follow me on twitter will have seen the many finds from Youtube 'likes'.

One person who I find fascinating is Pogo. Absolutely brilliant work by this guy on his YT Channel, I think I've mentioned him before with 'Upular' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVxe5NIABsI

Music vids made up from vid clips, from films and TV, his latest work is 'Smooth Cream', an advert for Aussie Fencing with Melissa G covering the main lyrics. This is actually a pretty good dance track and is available on iTunes.

I have recently come across a mashup artist that has taken me by surprise. I came across a mash-up "Here" vs. "Confident" - Alessia Cara vs. Demi Lovato (Mashup!) - https://www.mediafire.com/?nppnpsor5ua30c4

(LINK WILL TAKE YOU TO MEDIAFIRE DOWNLOAD - DELETED FROM YOUTUBE)

When I looked at the photo, I saw a very young girl, of an age that I would not associate with a mash-up of this calibre, and she also has quite a back catalogue of mixes. She states that she keeps getting her channels shut-down for copyright violation, but has backup channels so she doesn't lose her work. Della AKA Dylan Faiella is in Senior High School and lives in N.Y. and very talented. I think that she's going to be quite a name in the mash-up community in the near future.

@DdylanFaiella1

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFUSaA1o-piGfygKmNSkChQ

If anyone is interested, I have been putting together a playlist on Youtube
it's got around forty vids and growing

After watching DeadPool, I went looking for one of the tracks that reminded me of younger days, Salt N Pepa – Shoop, and found Shoop (Remix) - Salt N' Pepa feat. Notorious BIG [HD]
The original track, thankfully not messed with , and added lyrics from Biggie.

Sticking with Biggie, on the Chillhop channel, The Notorious B.I.G. - Everyday Struggle (L'Indécis Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cE36pyqkRbU&feature=youtu.be&a
Simple and an absolute pleasure to listen to, L'Indécis has a back catalogue on Soundcloud

Found a couple on trap channels that I liked
A new variation of a fav, The Notorious B.I.G. - Party and Bullshit (NKGN Trap Mash-up)
track kicks in around 1:40 in, really like this one
also

Biggie Smalls Vs Keys n Krates Vs Jikay - Dum Dee Machine Gun (Grim Squad Mashup)

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrpDn8ZhHYI

Like this one cause it's bouncy, trips me right out.
If you like with a heavy bass try out

Biggie Smalls - Can I Get Witcha (Louies Calabria Remix) from Melbourne Beats

One of the better remixes of Wrecking Ball is Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball (Billy Marlais Bootleg)
A Melbourne Bounce number on the Bounce United channel

Lemon Jelly vs Chromeo - Momma's Ducks (mashup)

This one works really well. "Momma's Ducks" is a mashup of Lemon Jelly's "Nice Weather for Ducks" with Chromeo's "Momma's Boy" by The Reborn Identity. With the unmistakable voice of Scottish actor and impressionist Enn Reitel, famous for Trust Me, Spitting Image, and turning down the part of Del Trotter (Only Fools & Horses)

Well, I'm going end on a parody, just cause I think it's really well put together

Adele - Hello (from the dark side) [parody]

Bye!

 Hi Everybody!

I have just got back from visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, and I would recommend going to everyone. If you are an ardent fan, then it's a must. If you like the films, then you will really enjoy it, and If your not really a fan but decide to take a loved one or a friend, you may very well end up becoming a fan.

My wife is a massive fan, I enjoyed the films, and both of us had an amazing time. In commemoration of the visit, I have searched for any Harry Potter based mashups and remixes that I can find. I hope you like what I've found.

The first of the bunch is one that I stumbled across a while ago, and absolutely adore. It is the original stylings of a music producer named Pogo.

Pogo (Christopher Nicholas Bertke) creates his tracks by using video clips over a simple beat. His best known work on youtube is Upular, but has a very large collection under his belt. Born in South Africa, he now lives in Austrlia, and has produced a few Harry Potter based tracks. The one I wish to draw your attention to, however, is The Hermione Mix – Pogo & Jeesh

Wonderful to listen to, just pop on the headphone's and chill, totally hynotic.

Over on SoundCloud, something a little different, but rather well put together Melbourne Bounce number. Feels like a work in progress, but I found it to be rather unique. Harry Potter | and the Dir3ctor Remix by Dir3ctor

If you would rather progressive trance, then allow me to recommend a rather good offering from Spiritual Machines. Spiritual Machines - Harry Potter (Edit Bootleg)

Spiritual Machines consist of DJ's Luis Fernando Heylmann and Mark Klein, who's work is styled on Progressive Psy-Trance, with strong beats.

Or if you prefer a touch of electro house, then try out City 17 Touch Bass - Harry Potter Theme Remix

Ok, back over to Youtube, we have one that a lot of you might already be familiar with.

Mike Relm - Harry Potter and the Remix of Death

This is a fun little number, and at first I thought it might get on my nerves after a while, but it's actually quite well put together, and I must confess that It's really quite good

The main Harry Potter theme (Hedwig's theme) is prevalent throughout most remixes, and wading through the many mixes and remixes that are just carbon copies can take a toll on the ears, and also the patience, but there are a few that peaked my interest.

Daniel Pavan - Harry Potter (Remix) has a sort of heavy Ibiza feel to it, have a listen, see what you think.

If you like the logo at the top of the screen and want to have a go yourself, pop over to flaming text.com http://www.flamingtext.co.uk/All-Logos

Dont forget you can find me on twitter, youtube, and other places on the infernalnet

see ya soon, have fun

Electro & House 2015 Best of Year Party Mix - DJ Fr@nck

Over 3 hours long, can be found on the HouseBootlegParty channel on youtube, with nearly four million hits since April, this one is proving very popular.

I have been getting on to DJ Colatron for a follow up to E.V.P. for a while now, and although he hasn't relented, he has released another collage/montage piece in Crumplestock 2015.

Crumplbanger's CrumpleStock Fest April 2015 is an Internet DJ festival held over 3 days in April, and is heading towards being a yearly event.

Although there is no video for this track it can be found on his Website and downloaded from his SoundCloud listing

(Created for the Crumplstock Internet DJ Festival Weekend - April 2015)

In a similar vain

Legends Never Die | Fytch (Mashup feat. Tupac, Mobb Deep, Biggie & Snoop Dogg) from OpticHipHopRap
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98Hajpsxdbs

Beautifully done, found this a while ago. If you like it, download link in the description, biggie and tupac alongside Scarface. Awesome

Over on Vimeo

Paramore x Iggy Azalea x Jennifer Hudson - Aint Trouble Fun MorrisVideos 2015

A fun little number, kinda catchy, and everyone I know who's heard it all said they liked it, thought it was worth a mention. And Jennifer Hudson looks great in uniform.

I like vimeo, but the format of the site makes it difficult to navigate, come on Vimeo, time for a facelift me'thinks

I have a couple of Rihanna for you now, they are many, varied and wide, but two really stand out

Rihanna - Stay Remix (Stian Hammersland)

Stian Hammersland, from bergen in Norway, check his channel on youtube

( Disco Suckz Remix ) Rihanna And Kanye West And Paul McCartney FourFiveSeconds - DJ TAVO ALONSO

or alternately check out the key of awesome parody

Someone I really want to mention on here is a DJ I stumbled across a short time ago, with exceptional talent, DJ Giovanni.
As an undergrad, Giovanni underwent a life saving surgical procedure to treat a lifelong battle with symptoms of Cholesteatoma which plagues the middle ear and, if left untreated, the inner ear. For this reason he is known as 'The International Deaf DJ'

Mr. Probz - Waves (DJ GIOVANNI Remix)

Ok, I'm getting hungry now so I gonna call it a day.
Download – listen – enjoy
